I figure with a title like this, the bad puns and all will be out about what a sweet video (hehehe!) this is. In all fairness, the video does not stand out as one of the best videos i have seen this year, nor in a while. A nice video replete with bright colours, a properly lit set with appropriate colours that blend, nothing brash or outlandish, just a (sorry i can't help myself) sweet video.
The video is simple enough and to the point - beautiful girl and ice-cream make for a potentially distracting day at the ice cream shop. Paul play as the protagonist, goes into a shop for a meeting or an engagement and gets distracted by a girl (who by the look of things is going to spend hours in the toilet after the shoot cause i believe the director was hell bent on loading her with as much sugar as possible) who can't seem to make up her mind on if to ingest her confectioneries or just play (i did it again) with them to get Paul's attention. it works though, as Paul Play ends up coming over and after a few treats, boy gets girl.
While the plot is thin, the video quality is high. In terms of props, location and costuming (the nerd look does Paul play no favours, i must add), the director and the crew get top marks. The characters, Paul Play and his friend, the leading lady and the white guy in the background (just incase we forgot the video was from out of town) all look very good. It is classy, well shot and deserves all the accolades it gets.
Pity the song is pretty average though.
