250 years ago, he invented greatness. 250 years on and there is still a drop of greatness in every one.If you are still wondering what I am talking about, then it is obvious you missed out on what was supposed to be the greatest concert of the year. I am talking about the celebration of a great man and a great brand. I am talking about the September 24, ARTHUR GUINESS day celebration.
It all went down at the OCEANVIEW GARDEN in V/I and after a couple of interviews with some of the attendees, it was obvious different people felt differently about the concert.
The show was billed to kick off by 5pm but did not get started until some minutes past 7pm (typical naija time mentality). However, that was soon forgotten when BASKETMOUTH opened the floor with his rib cracking style before introducing Naija's premier DJ, JIMMY JATT. JIMMY wasted no time as he got the crowd jumping to a nice mix of foreign and homebase club mix.
Up next was "THE IMMACULATE MIC INSPECTOR" and true to the title, M.I gave the mic a thorough beat down alongside his loopy family, JESSE JAGZ, ansd ICEPRINCE. There was also the surprise introduction of GENERAL PYPE who sparked up new energy in the crowd. All in all, M.I's performance was the highlight of the night (quote that anwhere).
